Sicilian Pizza Arrives in San Diego...
The long wait is over friends. On June 18th, 2007,
Sicilian Thing Pizza will open its doors at
4046 30th St in North Park and San Diegans will finally have a
chance to enjoy a style of pizza that has yet to make a name for itself on the West Coast. Our specialty (as you may already have guessed) is Sicilian style pizza. It is thicker than traditional pizza because the heavier dough ball is put into a pan to rise creating a thick, but light pie.
Sicilian is square, although you may see some rectangular ones from time to time.
Thin round traditional pizza is also offered, but Sicilian is traditional to those
folks who came from the end of the boot.
The place is small so we currently have only 2 employees. Paul is the owner and may look somewhat familiar to pizza buffs in S.D. His interests are baseball, baseball, and baseball. Bring your trivia questions. He's good. Tom is
the Mr.Spock of the operation applying logic to sometimes illogical situations.
He likes playing the guitar and losing money on the stock market when not at work.
"Scout" is our unofficial 3rd employee. His interests include Milk Bones and
sleeping. He heads up security for us around the shop. Would-be thieves will
have to contend with the likes of this ferocious beast, but don't be fooled by his menacing appearance, he's got a sweet side too.
